Director of Fundraising (for yearly established event)

Outside Sales

Successful candidate be Schedule 8 10 external appointments each week with upper level management to attend. Increase company participation in fund-raising events. Goal will be a total fundraising of $300,000 yearly fundraising or better. Will be responsible for new and established fundraising events. Must have at least 3 years face to face outside sales or fundraising experience, be self motivated, organized, and be able to work independently.



Must be comfortable with public speaking and have worked with a data management program.



Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide the vision and strategic direction for the fund raising event that supports the organizations goals and objectives.



2. Through outcome and evaluation of previous campaigns, organize a written plan to meet or exceed goal by using companys best practices for outside fundraising events.



3. Assist in identification and recruitment of key fund-raising leadership positions with highly qualified individuals.



4. Conduct orientation meetings with volunteer leadership.



5. Develop, implement and manage event timeline and budget.



6. Develop effective working relationship with high-level executives, recruit and solicit sponsorship in support of the event.



7. Work with committee chairs on all aspects of their campaign/events to assure successful outcomes.



8. Conduct Gap analysis and strategy meetings with volunteer leadership to support goal achievement.



9. Anticipate possible problem areas and recommend approaches to prevent occurrence, reduce impact, or overcome barriers to campaign/event implementation.



10. Serve as staff liaison between assigned activities and companys leadership team to insure implementation of common goals and to promote a harmonious working relationship.



11. In addition to the above, perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:





Minimum Qualifications:



1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.



2. Minimum of 3 years experience in a fundraising or outside sales position that involves building and maintaining sales relationships at the corporate level with demonstrated success.

3. Possess strong selling and negotiation skills.

4. Knowledge and demonstrated ability to successfully identify, cultivate, recruit, and maintain relationships with top level volunteers.

5. Proven ability to understand and navigate corporate cultures to achieve goals.

6. Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication at all organizational levels.

7. Ability to plan, conduct, and participate in meetings, work in a team environment and interact with all levels of companys staff, volunteers and the public.

8. Valid driver's license, proof of at least minimum state required automobile liability insurance and ability and willingness to travel as position demands.

9. Ability to work outside standard hours as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends.

10. Ability to use Microsoft products, computer software, run reports and maintain accurate data.

11. Satisfactory background checks including consumer credit, motor vehicle, and criminal history.
